ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Don

I have always felt that Bedford works best when we are united. We need a Town Board that represents all of us and listens to our concerns and supports the organizations that make our community special. I have had the privilege of serving Bedford in several roles during my time here.

My family first moved to Bedford Village in 4th Grade. I attended Bedford Elementary and have great memories of swim team and little league at Bedford Memorial Park. My wife Stephanie and I returned to Katonah to raise our family in 1985. It has been our pleasure to be active volunteers in the community we love. We have always felt if you want to get the most out of our community you need to get in the mix.

Facing the challenges of Bedford local government, namely working to keep the town affordable for everyone but especially our seniors who sometimes struggle to stay here is what I enjoy most. I am also dedicated to doing everything we can to help the hamlets of Bedford Village, Bedford Hills and Katonah thrive. Amazon, big box stores and the internet have changed the business landscape. We can work harder to attract the right kind of businesses for this economy and not bury prospective new businesses in bureaucratic red tape.

Supporting Bedford's commitment to the environment has been especially fulfilling for me. Bedford 2020 is a leader in the nation for environmental initiatives, something I have been proud to support as a Board Member. B2020 grew out of a Town Advisory committee. Supporting community groups like B2020 is a vital responsibility for our Town Board. As we like to say, it's what makes Bedford, Bedford.

In addition to my serving on our Town Board, I run a marketing firm in Katonah. I attended college at Vanderbilt majoring in Economics and Business. In my spare time (not much of it these days) I love to play golf, fish and fly airplanes.

It would be my honor to serve you as Town Councilmember. Please call me if you ever have a question or a concern.
